Hillbilly Ghetto #1

via NeuFutur Magazine by admin on 3/9/08

For longtime visitors of my site, you may remember that a review of this zine was up for about a week. This is because the person that was giving me the free webspace couldn't maintain the upkeep, and was forced to drop the domain. Anyway, this zine really hits home for me, as the main topic of the magazine, as one can imagine, is living alongside some of the worst species of what are called "Hillbillies". One really feels sorry for Mandy, who finally was able to get her house after living for a number of years in an apartment. Her trials and tribulations, quite a few that sounded dangerous, are accounted in this magazine. The only problem that I can come up with for this amazing read is the extremely dark quality of the pictures, not really a problem of hers as much as of the printing place that she used. The zine acts as a really good introduction for the rest of the issues of the magazine and for her website, http://www.hillbillyghetto.com. So, if you can scratch together some money, send Mandy a dollar or two, and I'm sure she'd be happy to oblige. Mandy Willeford, P.O. Box 412, Greensburg, IN 47240.
