"Warts and all", indeed. In his autobiographical comics (this collects PEEPSHOW issues #11 to #14), Joe Matt chronicles all of his unpleasant attributes: cheapness, self-loathing, procrastination, chronic masturbation, dislike of humanity, and the need to spend an inordinate amount of time dubbing the "best" parts from porno films into compilations. However, despite these less-than-desirable qualities, Joe Matt doesn't come off as either (1) a douchebag, or (2) sad and pathetic, but as extremely human. Plus, cartoonist who is willing to torment the pretentious artist Seth (nee Gregory Gallant) earns extra points from me. (Here's a PDF preview of SPENT.)..
