Whuddafug #5, digest, 32 pages, $3 ("but if you have something to trade or submit, copies are FREE!") One of my new favorite zines. The layout is simple and bland, but who cares when the writing is so great. Various offerings ranging from one sentence to several pages, from fiction to non-fiction. I liked a story called "Birthday Wishes," in which a daughter plans a surprise for her father's birthday, but the celebration is bittersweet. Two trip reports take up a major portion of the zine. One is a day hike to Lake Texoma in which my favorite line of the zine is delivered: "You poor, chubby little child. In a few short years you will be lusting after young women, and they will ignore you and break your heart." The other is a family vacation to Cancun in which Anthony refuses the typical tourist experience opting instead for a more authentic Mexican experience. The Cancun tale is complete with pictures of the trip. Anthony Abelaye, PO Box 861294, Plano TX 75086
