Second Hand Smoke #1

20 Pages, Digest
Price?

Quirky, scribbley, comics, doodles, dreams, and other weird shit. I really like the low tech, primitive style. I would have liked it a a whole lot more if I could read it; terrible, tiny, illegible handwriting. ruins an otherwise enjoyable zine.

Potential Mode #2

Potential Mode #2
8 1/2 x 5 1/2, 24 pages
$3.00/$3.40 by paypal (potentialmode@live.com)
A collection of comics, short stories, and sketchbook drawings. Three of the comics are continuations of stories started in the first issue of Potential Mode. One of the comics involves baby killing. The two short stories are fairly uninteresting thematically, but they are decently told. (Is 155 lbs. fat?) My favorite comic is the centerfold strip, Joe Dolt. I love the Eeyore-ness of it, as well as the crassness. The artwork is pretty impressive, so the illustrations make up for where the storytelling falters.
